CHEF AUSTIN
Born and raised in the small town of Freeburg, Illinois, Austin Beckett discovered his passion for cooking in an unexpected way. Starting as a dishwasher in a local restaurant, Beckett was thrust into the kitchen one day to cover for an absent chef. That moment sparked a journey that would take him around the globe, shaping him into the celebrated chef he is today.
A graduate of the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Chicago, Beckett launched his culinary career with the Four Seasons Hotels, where he honed his skills in 5 star luxury hospitality for over 12 years. His tenure took him across the globe, from the kitchens of Southeast Asia. Along the way, he worked side by side with world-renowned chefs, including opening Cinder House with James Beard Award winner, Gerard Craft, and working alongside Mauro Colagreco, who was named the World’s Best Chef of 2019.

THE FOOD
Although classically trained in French cuisine and a master of handmade pasta, Beckett’s expertise extends across French, Italian, Brazilian, Japanese, and Filipino cuisines, with a particular passion for live-fire cooking. Inspired by the earth’s natural bounty, he marvels at how effortlessly grown ingredients can evoke powerful emotions, create cherished memories, and forge meaningful connections. Guided by his culinary philosophy, “If it grows together, it goes together,” Beckett deeply respects high-quality, natural ingredients and the rich traditions they represent, crafting dishes that celebrate authenticity and the cultural stories behind them.
While his professional accomplishments are vast, Beckett’s most profound inspirations come from humble moments. From street markets in Southeast Asia to shared meals that transcend language barriers, he has always seen food as a universal connector that brings people together.
